You cannot simply switch field. You need to have a degree in Pharmacy, which is recognised by the Health Ministry. In order to practice as a pharmacist, you need to be registered with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia (Lembaga Farmasi Malaysia), which is a branch of the ministry. Got to http://star-jobs.com/ and search/ find the health related jobs. Goodluck.

Is you EMPLOYER to Apply for you Work Permit. Nothing to do with you ! Turkish National will not allow to work as General Jobs In Malaysia , under Work Permit ! Only for Professionals / Executives / Special Technical Skill for EMPLOYMENT PASS. you must be Degrees Holder to Qualified. if not those Standard jobs our local people can handle, you never get PERMIT. and during this bad Time , Malaysia Government are STOP or CUT the amount of foreign workers. ( she so cleaver to find a jobs for you ? even local people lose jobs since last years ) . Any way , if you get Jobs , is not you to submit Permit Application. is EMPLOYER /COMPANY to apply for you.you got no right to submit any type of Permit Application. * Marriage Malaysian, you able to stay long time . get jobs/work permit , chance is very very slim. = 0 . unless you are Professionals in some area. ,but company which to hire Professionals/Executives Staff from overseas, with out Interview ? cannot be !
2 :
Tell your gf that the employer has to apply for a licence to employ you at the Labour Office, then also to apply for a work permit at the Immigration Dept...Your employer hs to prove that he is unable to find locals to do the job. if approved, the employer will be issued a "landing permit" for you to come over to Malaysia (you bring along a copy of that permit) .....on arrival, you will be issued with a special social visit pass with permission to seek employment ....you then meet up with your employer who will aggange for a medical screening, as part of the process of the finalization of your work permit....if you fail the medical, you go back to Turkey at the expir of your visit pass. Inintially, the only document required is a copy of your passport for your gf to arrange things - however, it helps to provide also at least 6 copies of passport type photos.... You cannot convert your normal visit pass to a work permit....

you could work on a crab farm or try a hospital.
2 :
do you like animals? the zoo negara is open for voluntary work. just go there, gate B if ive not mistaken, tell the authorities that you want to volunteer, theyll give you some forms to fill in on the spot, and off you go helping. there are two sessions, you can help from 8 am til 2 pm, or 8 am til 5 pm. tiring, and of course dirty as you'll be handling animal dung, but my friends and I really enjoyed our time there.
3 :
You can approach orphanage and NGOs, usually they require volunteers to teach subjects like maths, science, computing, english & etc. But can be rather strict at times due to security e.g. you must travel there, be consistent & etc.

If none yet, why don't you try other countries who are luring foreign workers? Canada and Australia, to name some.

Not a job but doing a home based business online. Herewith is a website highly equipt with tools automated system supports.
3 :
You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as "work at home" because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

Will a wii bought in SA work with games bought from malaysia?

Nintendo Wii - 1 Answers

SA...South America? South Australia? South Africa? South Arabia? Well, let me first explain how this works. Different parts of the world use different video standards. For example, UK uses PAL and US uses NTSC. Wii games bought from an NTSC region will not work on a Wii from a PAL region and vice-versa. Malaysia is PAL. Both South Africa and South Australia are PAL, so if you mean one of those, then yes, games from Malaysia will work on your Wii.

If I buy a DVD in America and send it to a friend in Malaysia will it work in their DVD player

If I buy a DVD in America and send it to a friend in Malaysia will it work in their DVD player?

Other - Electronics - 25 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
probably not
2 :
no.
3 :
yes
4 :
It won't if the DVD is region coded or if the friend in Malaysia have a different type of DVD player.
5 :
yes it will
6 :
I dont see why not are their DVD players different than ours
7 :
It should.
8 :
it depends on their dvd player, check to see if they can play region 1 dvds, if they can then yes
9 :
why wouldnt it a DVD is a DVD
10 :
why don't you just send her money and she can buy the DVD in her own country...just incase
11 :
nope. diff regions. DVD are classed in regions.
12 :
Not unless your friend has a region free DVD player. The US uses region 1 DVD's, and Malaysia uses another region (3, maybe?). At any rate, I once made the mistake of buying a DVD in Europe (region 2) and trying to play it in my lovely region 1 DVD player *wince* so I can assure you it won't work.
13 :
each dvd player has a region code built into it. so does each dvd. If the region codes match, it will play. If not, no. However, there are programs that are available that can remove the region code so that it can be played on their computer.
14 :
i dont think so dude therr dvd polauyer down there might be diffrent from ours
15 :
If the dvd has no regional coding and their player has no regional code, it will play. Check the back of the case it came in to see what regional coding it has.
16 :
US is region 1. Malaysia is region 3. Not compatable.. won't work. (Unless they happen to have a "US" DVD player.
17 :
It depends on the DVD format and on the DVD player. There are some dvd players that would read almost everything, even bootleg dvd's. So you better check with your friend about the type of player he has. check out this link http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/3193231/002-2090700-1333662
18 :
Probably not. DVDs are produced in what are called different 'regions', and dvd players are produced to play the different regions. So if your friend doesn't have the same region as the US dvd, then it will not play. Some dvds allow for switching back and forth between regions, but only a limited number of times. Your friend may be able to play the dvd on their computer, depending on a whole bunch of factors, but then again, they may not. Your best bet is to see if you can't buy the dvd somehow in Malaysia for them (through the internet, or another friend, perhaps?)
19 :
No, unless they have a region free DVD player. US is Region 1 and Malaysia is part of Region 3. You can send them a US DVD player, but that may be too pricey. Just send them some cash and tell them to buy the disc there.
20 :
no it won't if it don't have the right type of coding
21 :
yes!!! beacuse all the dvd's int he world are all the same and dvd's are dvd's... or you can call your freind to ask what is the brand of his dvd plyer...that's easy...
22 :
as long as the DVD has not region code, or your friend is NOT using Sony DVD player, it should work.
23 :
it's gona work. 100%. because the problems like this usually have VCR and not DVD. DVD format is the same over the world. Belive me.
24 :
it is possible but the DVD and the player must be from the same zone. there are 7 zones around the world. the player may not be able to read the information from that disc.only if that disc is manufactured for that zone will it work.
25 :
If you having problems deciding who to believe, go with the smarter sounding ones, which are the ones that say no. The people that say that it definitely will are just plain stupid, and are just looking to score points. Aside from that link that someone provided from Amazon.com, here is another link that is the end-all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code

Being a Malaysian, you should know that with a Bachelors from a US Uni, you are probably over-qualified for a Masters in a Malaysian Uni. Have you kept up to date ? Try Singapore. :)
2 :
I received a mail from Concordia University in Montreal regarding the Master of Finance course. It's better to take full time and the average salary upon graduation is C$75000/year. University in Malaysia = University of Rubbish. Even our education minister sends his kids to Australia. HAHAHA Recommend: University of Manchester twinning at Sunway College
3 :
Do in UPM. They have the best postgrad business courses in Asia. Even foreign students flock there yknow!
4 :
If you strictly want to study under Malaysian uni, I believe Izzie is right. UPM is the most reputable uni for postgraduate studies. UiTM is reputable as well but not sure about their masterate programme and as you know, it only accepts bumiputra. UM? Well...... If you think only Malaysian uni just because you are only able to do it on part time basis, you may alternatively overseas uni that has twinning programme with Malaysian colleges (like Segi College) or overseas universities that offer long distance education programme.

perhaps try for an equity research associate position in a sector like heavy machinery (Ingersoll Rand, Caterpillar, etc. would be some examples of covered firms) or steel. then if you impress your boss, respectfully ask them if they will guide you in your CFA quest and more importantly, pay for it.

it's dosent matter for me. the most important is you must have a good and nice attitude and personality . and have a big smile. as long as yr service to customer is always to make customer happy. try it.. u can do that..!
4 :
If you look ugly + without confidence = won't get a job with MAS. If you look ugly + with confidence = you MIGHT get a job with MAS If you work on your physical outlook (botok, facial products...etc) + confidence = you WILL get a job with MAS

if you are not as bad as incredible hulk..i think you be fine..

I don't care as long as you cover me with the blanket during my flight...... coz I don't bother of anything else during 'flying'. I usually gets awake the nite b4, & always sleeps once I'm boarded......... so, don't kacau ok... u good looking or not.. I tak perasan pun... just do your job k...
7 :
nope... a nice sweet smile and a good attitude is enough oh i heard you need to be of certain height ;-)
8 :
nowadays people judge a book by its cover
9 :
No need lah, I frequent flyer with MAS, all look plain to me. No need good looking, no one gives a damn, especially me, always sleeping on the plane, some more I put the DO NOT DISTURB sticker. But I think you should try with other airlines, not only MAS alone.
10 :
Sadly.. Yes, you need a good looking face, average height and a nice body. Because this is about servicing, I think the airlines companies won't take the risk of scarying the customers.
11 :
you need to be a b*tch, then u'll get the job.
12 :
look is the second thing.. the main thing is yourself as a F/A can you be one?? --> but if too ugly, figured it out.. mail me to know the details...
13 :
I really have no say for this (looks) but haven't you realized something about 'MAS'? It stands for 'Mesti Ada Saudara'... if you're walking in without any internal contacts, I'm afraid the chances would be slim compared to those who are in touch with somebody they know who works with MAS. Priority would usually be given to those who possess good communication skills and ENGLISH as a priority (which I hope you do).
14 :
what do you mean ugly? Have you get into the Mas already and see all the looks of the steward or stewardess? All you need is good customer services skills and smile always.. no need very good result, SPM is the perfect certificate to use even if you have the diploma or STPM.. usually they pick candidates which have experience working in servicing job such as KFC, McD and so on..
15 :
if u are short and a racist, u will not get the job.
16 :
attract me babe..
17 :
I good looking... can I work as pilot?
18 :
ROTFLMAO at Yuna's comment - dear Yuna, that was very good....I'm still grinning now... :D Ok ok....well, I don't really know but I guess you do need to be somewhat good looking or at least have good complexion and of course above a certain height. I guess the whole purpose in all these is because people loves to look at beautiful things. I'm not just talking about person. But just ask ourself, all of us like pretty and cute things, right?

Hi every one , i will visiting to work in cybejaya, malaysia with my family of 3 .?
my earning in RM 5k can you please tell me whats will be the total cost for below 1. One bed room, kitchen with attach bathroom apartment semi furnished 2. 3 meals per day 3. travel by train/bus Thank you very much

Apartment rent would cost about rm500-1000 per month. 3 meals - for 1 person: Breakfast - Rm2 Lunch - Rm5 Dinner - Rm5 Total: Rm12 x 3 = rm36 perday rm36 x i month(31 days) = rm1116 <--could be less Bus/Train - Depends on the distance. Probably rm5 for 2 way travel per day. You family will be traveling with you everyday by bus/train? If yes then, Rm5x3 = Rm15 x 31 days = Rm465 MAXIMUM total: RM2,581 It COULD BE LESS. If you want to save money, look for a house that is near to your working place to save on transport. Also, the transport company usually have offer - if you travel everyday, you can get a card for everyday travel it would only cost you less than RM100 per month. For children below 12, would cost cheaper and some are free. For family of 3, flat house if good enough. Not too big, and not too small. Usually comes with 2 bedrooms,1 toilet, and a kitchen.

On July 15th, the company emailed him saying he got 30days to find another job due to global recession. But until now my friend didnt get his salary yet. He compalins to Malaysia Labour already. But how long will be the processing, and is there a possibility that he can get his salary from May, June, July & August? Thanks...

Hi There, Your friend can complaint to the Industrial Relations dept. Labour law is more for income less than RM4k per month. Sad to say, as an expat, your friend might have greater difficulty to get his salary back. This is because labout law takes 3-6 months before any action taken. Your friend has to call and follow up regularly. As for Industrial Relations dept, it may takes even longer. One of my friends took 3 years to settle her case. It's better to negotiate with the company HR manager for a settlement and inform the HR manager that a complaint has been launch to labour law. Your friend should visit labout law office to follow up. However, it will be more difficult because he's not Malaysian. Good luck!
2 :
Normally when a complaint is lodged, the labour office will call up the company to seek a win-win situation between the employee and the employer. If this fails, then a file will be opened. It will takes between two weeks to four weeks for an action to be taken. Of course this is depending on the officer in charge. If your friend have heard nothing from the labour office nor the company, ask him to follow up with the labour office by giving his file reference number. Your friend has the right to his unpaid salary. I think you must be a Malaysian, i am sure you know that officers in most government offices are slow or not paying much attention in their works. Many will take complaints from foreigners as not urgent and therefore things get delayed. I believe this is exactly what your friend is facing now. If you were a Malaysian, i suggest you accompany your friend to the labour office to check on the status of his complaint. On another note, i am not sure if your friend was legally employed or not, if he was not, then your friend would most probably wont be receiving his unpaid salary again. Call the officer in charge of the file and then make a visit to his/her office. Put some pressure on him/her, otherwise this matter be dragged and dragged until your friend gives up. Your friend had work for that company and he deserves to be paid.
3 :
During the economy downturn, many companies resorted to such dirty tactics to dismiss employees without paying salaries for several months. These blood sucking companies knew very well that they will not be penalised by the Malaysian labour authority. They are experts to handle the enforcement personnels from the labour ministry. Your friend's complaint will not be process soon because there are many pile up cases unsolved yet or are on the waiting list to be processed. Many cases take years to process and without result. Therefore, don't expect a fast solution to solve your friend's unpaid wages.

How is it like living in Malaysia

How is it like living in Malaysia?
I am Bahraini my boss offered me to send me over to Malaysia to work. How is it like for a foreigner living in Malaysia can you please describe it?

same old shit.. and man... it's really hot.. i went there on a business trip last year.. and i prayed all the time that.. god would place his mercy on me and send me back home earlier than i had anticipated..
2 :
Naw, it isn't that bad lol. I'm living in Singapore and so it's pretty similar. Yes, you have to get used to the heat but I think you come from a similar environment anyway.Malaysia is a great place to live in and if you actually get out and explore, there's a lot of unique stuff to discover. What daily life is like might depend on where exactly you are in Malaysia. Some places are well developed like KL, others are still very rural. There's loads of good food if you like to try new stuff and if you do go, then you do have to keep your mind open. Life there is different but if you can learn to enjoy these differences instead of complaining, you'll enjoy your time there.
3 :
Hot and wet. No problem for you because it is an Islam country.
4 :
I am not a foreigner, so I would not experience how a foreigner's life in Malaysia.
5 :
It's a great place for work. However get ready to work hard because Malaysians are generally hardworking too. However that's if you are working Managerial level you'd be working in hell. In terms of economic stability & peacefulness it's awesome. Living here is nice. It has a good night life here in the city. We have got lots of air-conditioners and "mamak" food stalls that operate 24-hours. You want to make it big here in Malaysia. It's easy if you're hardworking. I have seen many Arabs living near my housing area. They buy cars & shop & no one bothers. And yeah, we're close to Singapore, but you'd be surprised how so many people are so fair skinned and life in general here is so slow paced & relaxed. Good on you!
6 :
On the whole, Malaysia has lots to offer in terms of food and places to visit. It could be an eye-opener of a sort for you. As a foreigner living in Malaysia, you can easily mingle in with the crowd as it is a pot-pourri of different races. Population is mainly multi-lingual unless of course you are based in a very remote area. It's not hard to assimilate and adapt as long as you don't do anything that would make you stick out like a sore thumb. But seriously tho', it is a great place and there are many foreigners who treat Malaysia as a second home. So go for it.. the food is fantastic!
7 :
the police here r corrupter maybe their salary problems so nobody really worry about alcohol test on drivers That make everyone worry to driving after nite cos we do not know who is drunk drivers

It is agreat offer you should grab. almost all facilities in malaysia are complete and the local people are friendly ones. You'll enjoy since you follow the regulations which are consider almost the same as othe countries'.

One word to describe Malaysia, its the center of multiracial people. You can see every race of asians here, be it Malay, Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Arabs and many more. You will feel at home immediately after you've landed to Malaysia. Good food, any types of food are in Malaysia. Best weather, sunny season, rainy season but you'll enjoy your stay here. Trust me, I've worked with few German interns, and believe me not, they doesnt want to leave Malaysia. How good is that? Developed country, many public transportation, friendly Malaysians (most of us speaks English as second language, so communication isn't a barrier) Come and experience here as a tourist then make up your mind. :)

2 :
If you have received an offer and it sounds too good to be true, that's because it probably is. There are numerous job scams run by crooks in Nigeria. Usually you'll get offered a job without a face-to-face interview. But then you're always asked to wire cash by Western Union wire transfer, for visa fees, airline tickets, insurance, courier fees, etc. Doesn't matter what excuse they give you, *don't do it*. Wiring money upfront to a stranger in Nigeria is a sure way to get scammed. Western Union and the Internet don't mix. Never use WU to send money to anyone you don't know personally.

Singaporean working in malaysia paid in Singapore. Where to pay tax

Singaporean working in malaysia paid in Singapore. Where to pay tax?
I'm an indian. A Permanent Resident in Singapore and I have been filing my Tax returns in Singapore. Now I'm being transferred to malaysia on work. i will have to be there till i work for this company. My salary will still remain in Singapore. Where should I file my return?

File with me. And your tax will be 25% of your salary on a monthly basis. Year end will be 50% cause of your bonus.
2 :
>>Dead Man Walking...LOL....good idea hahaha. Anyway, since you are a PR in Singapore and have been filing your Tax Returns (funny this word---they don't return hehe) in Singapore, then I should think you must continue doing so the same way....because your salary remains in Singapore. The best person to ask is your authority in the company. ------do I get any commission for consultation...haha------
3 :
yr paid in singapore so u are supposed to file in singapore check with IRAS damn u need to pay me for this advice do u know that
4 :
Singapore
5 :
You need to resolve the issue with someone that really knows. If you have a Malaysian Employment Pass, someone is going to have to pay the tax on the salary claimed to qualify for the Pass. Some times the company is responsible for foreign tax. If you pay tax in Malaysia it will probably be deductible from your Singapore Tax Liability. especially if you're living in Malaysia. That's established by Tax Treaty. But don't listen to us. Check with the experts. Good Luck.
6 :
This will depend on who is paying you your salary. Being transferred to Malaysia but still drawing Singapore salary means you still have to pay your tax in Singapore.

She as an employee not a bonded slave. I'm sure you know what I mean. Please choose wisely and treat them well. Good luck.

Why only from Pakistan ??? Do you know that 90 or even 95% Pakistani women do not work in Pakistan. Only in big cities like Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad you can find some women working. Although the number of working women is rising but still its impossible for a family to send their girl alone to Malaysia, so you better try to find a Pakistani couple residing in Malaysia for this job. Most Asian Language Institutes that I have dealt with want their teachers to have as a minimum a four year Bachelor's Degree (Major doesn't really matter) and TEFL training. Some will hire you with the degree and no formal TEFL, but I have not heard it the other way around. Perhaps if you have completed the TEFL and articulate your speech well, you could get into an Institute to teach English in Malaysia.

Indonesia practices a system of so called freedom of expression, which in fact is a cowardly act by certain politicians and religious extremists there to abuse the system to their selfish agendas. It takes so long to send the lunatic, extremists, fanatical and terrorist Abu Bakar to the gallows. The reason is because corruption in Indonesia is the highest in the world. Its lunatics like him and his followers who destroy the peace on earth and create animosity between countries. Its all a plot to destabilise Indonesia so that the radicals can have a better say in government and its neighbors. These people have no principal in life and are as good as vagabonds of the lowest class. Title: Affiliate marketing, a business with no hassle For many people, the lure of working from home is too strong to resists. Being able to set up your own hours, your own schedule and your own your speed is an extremely attractive way of living to most people. But the thought of setting up your own web-based business can be a huge hassle. You have to have a web design, a product and then you have to sell it, ship it and handle customers. A much easier way to work from home and run a web-based business is called affiliate marketing. Setting up a site that works as an affiliate marketing site isn’t really that hard. There are many different web-page building programs out there that walk you through every step of the process. Once you have a functional web site, you need to come up with a list of companies that will pay you to link to them. Many major websites like Amazon have an affiliate program that you can join and then get paid for simply linking to their website. But if you really want to cash in, you don’t want a webpage with just a list of links on it. This may earn you a buck or two, but when most web surfers stumble upon these kinds of pages after a Google search, they tend to get frustrated and leave. The best route for you to go is to provide interesting web content that relates to the company you’re linking to. If you can’t write interesting web content yourself, there are many companies that will do it for you for a very reasonable price. Once you’ve got your content, you can weave your links throughout it. People will find your web page on search engines like Google, Yahoo and Ask.com and when they see the well-written content, they will hang around and read what’s on your site. They will, in most cases, click on the links provided and you’ll be counting the cash in no time flat. While there is no guarantee that affiliate marketing will turn into a cash cow, with enough hard work, the odds are in your favor. When you combine a cool site design with quality content and a good mix of interesting links, you are bound to get a good number of hits that will quickly translate into dollars for you. Give it a try, you might be surprised at how well it works! A few GREAT places to get started- http://www.w57.net/affialiatemarks.html http://morenichee.w57.net The first site goings to hook you up with a excellent book on the subject, and the second is the BEST affialiate I have yet to find. I can make commissions of up to 200$ per sale with them. (albeit on questionable products sometimes) Its free, and def worth a look. I'm living of Morenichee (and a few other affialiates for around 7 months now.

I take into assumption that you are from India and not a Malaysian. If so, getting a teaching job in Malaysia for a non-Malaysian is fastest possible in the private sector including private colleges and schools.(Government universities are possible, but only to certain courses like linguistic and it may take a longer time to approve your application) I am not sure of the exact qualifications required in each private institution, but I have found some colleges and schools that may need your services. I assume again that your husband is working in Kuala Lumpur, so I omit looking for places outside Kuala Lumpur. However, some of the colleges I've searched below has branches in other states. Good luck and hope you enjoy staying in Malaysia

You need to apply for a visa to live and work in Australia.
3 :
You absolutely need a visa to work in Australia! You might want to research the Australia Skilled Visa.
