anyone know how to get a malaysian work permit for one year?
my passport is british i want to work in malaysia for one year how should i go about this?

You can make visa runs for a few months. The employer must put up around 10,000rm for each foreign worker. Don't get your hopes up.

you need an employer in Malaysia - he must submit to immigrations a work contract which has to be duty stamped and signed by yourself, a letter of acceptance, Form 9, 24 etc (depending on work sector) etc. viasas, letter of sponsorship, letters of grantors... it is quite a package, large companies that employ foreigners know what to do.

Will an iPhone work here in Malaysia if I bought it in the US?

it will if you get the unlock version.

yeah, it has to be unlocked. when you get to malaysia, get a sim card and minutes and you'll be good to go. go to a dealer, explain your situation, and maybe they will unlock it, i doubt it, but they may. i would strongly recommend against using an international plan. especially with At&t.

I understand from all my iPhone user friends that even though they can use the phone in Malaysia, they can never MMS (definate) and go online (very very likely, can't remember if it can be done). They can only make calls and sms + other features like games. If you want to have the full service, you need to get one from Maxis.

Suminem used to work in an restaurant in Puchong and went home because her mother was lonely and we have lost touch since then.Can anyone tell me how to locate her and how to travel there from Australia(Perth).I used to be called Wan and I knew her for 5 years .She was from a village in the mountains in Ponorogo,Indonesia

Umm don't ever buy an Iphone, Iphone batteries explode,so if you want to keep your hand, if you want a phone that does not blow up I prefer you buy Blackberry. Or you can just buy an Itouch.
