looking at the two sentences and 18 words you have written above i advise you not to come here to work as a executive, as an labourer still ok
4 :
It is very tough to do it yourself . You have to use an agent . I have seen many con men agent cheating people with all sorts of promises . I suggest that you use an agent that your friend has used . Like i said i have seen people promised BIG jobs with big salaries only to get jobs as a waiter in a small dirty restaurant !

i would say singapore. ;) there are a few 'unstate-able' reasons. studying and working in singapore would be better. :) the singapore value is higher than malaysia too! so, if you convert SG money to Malaysia's, you'll be 'richer'. x)

As a Malaysian saying this, Go to Singapore. But I guess in the end it really depends on what you're doing. Singapore is very successful but limited on some things (due to less land I suppose). Just research lots of things and follow your heart.

The easiest and best way to start is to find two locals to "subscribe" to shares to form a private limited company. Provide with them the R1.00 each, provide them with funds to rent an office, apply for a trading licence..... and you are on.....Later you just purchase the company when it is running smoothly....

resignation before work permit finishes in malaysia

resignation before work permit finishes in malaysia?
is it possible if anyone has a work permit for two years in malaysia, is it possible for them to resign from the work owner? what are conditions and terms? does the work owner have the right to force the employee to work till the end of work permits?? any penalty from the work owner or the government?
Malaysia - 2 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
It depends on the terms of employment which you have signed with your employer. Since your permit is valid for two years, i believe your minimum term with that company should be two years ( i could be wrong, refer to the terms of employment ). Normally, when you wish to resign before your term ends, you have to pay the company your salary in lieu of the remaining months. Likewise if your employer wishes to terminate your service before the terms ends, he would have to pay your salary in lieu of the remaining terms. Don't use the word "force", everything was agreed upon between the employer and the employee before the start of the employment. As far as the government is concern, there is no whatsoever penalty.( referring to the permit ) but according to the labour law of Malaysia, what i mentioned above about applies.
2 :
The length of work and conditions of work [e.g. resignation at an earlier date than stipulated], depends on the terms of the employment agreement you signed with your employer. If you resign early and if that is accepted, then your employer will make arrangements to cancel your work permit and apply for tax clearance[if applicable]. You will then be issued a special pass [usually 2 weeks] for you to make arrangements to return to your country.... If you need to continue to work in Malaysia, you cannot "change employer or employment", but need to go back to your country to go through the whole process again [of looking for work in Malaysia and application of work permit after a lapse of six months]......

If you have any skills/qualification , you may come to Singapore to look for job. You may find all job vacancy through daily news paper ( The Straits Times). Once you find the employer, then they will apply for Employment Pass to Ministry Of Manpower. You may start work once approval granted.

Between the two, Singapore is a far better option if you compare wages and everything else. You may log on to www.jobsdb.com.sg All the best.

Is it possible to convert tourist visa into work permit in MALAYSIA

Is it possible to convert tourist visa into work permit in MALAYSIA?

Yes, but you must have firm offer of employment, not only that, your prospective employer must make the necessary arrangements to apply for permission to employ you ...including showing proof that no locals can be found to fill the vaccancy....However, there may be situations that you cannot "convert", but have to go back to your country, apply for a work permit visa (on the basis of your confirmed valid offer )...and then come back to Malaysia. In some cases, your employer would have taken care of everything - you just come, enter on a temporary pass, and report to the immigration department along with your employer to have the necessary endorsement made in your passport....(you would have faxed a copy of your passport to your employer beforehand for him to make the arrangements). So- all the necessary work is done by your employer or his agents . Your job is to,be present when the time comes...

Can a 15 years old from Malaysia work in Australia as a part time job

Can a 15 years old from Malaysia work in Australia as a part time job?
I'm currently 15 years old and I heard that Australia (Perth) salary are higher than Malaysia 2-3 times more. But Australia country expenses are high, but I intend to get a part time job in Australia on my holiday period and to save more and earn more. And I have relatives who staying there too. I hope to work in Australia as a waiter, cleaner, etc.. that suitable for me. Anyway I do not have any experience but I agree to learn and I'm a fast learner. P/S : I do not have any Australia resident or working visa. Please state down what steps should I do. thanks! So what is the minimum age that able to work in Australia and apply as a working visa? My friends is a permanent resident in Australia and while he was 16 years old can get into a waiter job. How come? Isn't too young for him also? Anyway, can I apply for resident at Australia? Since my relatives (my mom's brother) is a PR in Australia and living there. May I ask if I'm a PR in Australia, do I keep my resident on my previous country that where I born?

1 :
no you can not work in Australia, you are too young to qualify for a work visa.If you are caught working you will be deported and banned from Australia
2 :
No, absolutely not. You are only eligible for a Tourist visa and on a Tourist visa, you are not allowed to work at all - not part time; not full time; not for pocket money - not at all! In the unlikely event of someone being prepared to illegally employ an inexperienced 15 year old therefore risking a large fine, you have an excellent chance of being caught which will mean deportation and automatic exclusion from Australia for a minimum of 3 years. If you ever wish to return to Australia after your exclusion period, you will have great difficulty obtaining a visa. Please do not even consider coming to Australia and breaking our laws which is what you will be doing if you work.
3 :
ok here something you need to know 1 your to young to work any where that i know of out sde your own country ..2 yes the pay is higher in perth by 2-3 time but expense are also higher ..this is the biggest misconceptions everyone has about countries like Australia UK USA and other nation everyone think we are rich since we come to your country with Dollar Euro Pounds or what ever Yes it a lot compared to your money when we exchange it but back home its not really enough to keep food on the table sometime so before you go to perth remember you can make alot more but to live there will can cost alot more too
4 :
Residents can work PT from the age of 14 and 9 months. They cannot work during school hours until age 17. High school graduates from a very small selection of countries (Malaysia is not one of them) can work for 1 year between the ages of 18-30. All others have to migrate here on a skilled visa (very hard to get and takes 2-3 years to process from application to getting off the plane), marry and Australian or work in a temp specialize job (like scientific researcher for a 3 year grant). As mentioned above - looking at just income is not good. We could look at the cost of living in the Philippines and say - that's cheap lets move there. However when we get a job we realize that we cannot live like a king because the income like the cost of living is much much lower than in Australia

Depends who you get to do it? I used an agent a few years ago and it cost around $300 through the company I work for. Not sure if this is typical. I'd start by speaking to someone from the Malaysian embasy. Good luck
4 :
It depends some of the companies esp. MNC are willing to pay the work permit & process it for their employees. But for your case, if you want assurance it's better to consult the nearest Malaysian embassy. They will provide you a detail explanations, process & procedures & etc.
5 :
Go to http://www.imi.gov.my. You'll find all the information there. Exchange Rate : 1 USD = Ringgit (RM) 3.25 ( as at 11th January 2008 ) The amount show in the above website is the amount payable to the Immigration Dept. of Malaysia which is the official amount. It is the responsibility of your employer to submit your application to apply for the work permit at NO COST. However in some companies especially the smaller ones, they'll get an agent to do that ,to safe them all the hassles and service fee charged by the agent would eventually charged to you (some companies are willing to bear this cost) The fee charged by an agent varies from agents to agents but it shouldn't be more than USD300.00.

The answer by Jeffis quite right. From my own encounters as an eye witness. The malaysian police are the ones doing the checking around towns and cities here. Their normal "punishment" is to take ( rob ) your mobile phone , cash and valuables and let you go off with a "warning". If it is the Immigration officers, they only comes after you after they receives public complaints. Their usual corrupted "punishment " will cost you 2000 ringgit or malaysian money. Yes, they do beats you up if you can't pay them what they demanded. ( Not related to your question ) Hereby by answering your question openly here in Yahoo. Malaysia is short of qualified doctors --- I am not sure about Italy..... Perhaps you can contact the Consulate/Embassy of Malaysia and Italy about openings and whether you qualify.... you need to have a contract (duty stamped and all) with a Sabahan company first, and a letter of appointment from the company, acknowledged by your friend. Then the company has to submit the application. That involves cover letter, company Form 9, 25, 46 etc depending on sector, two or more passport photographs of the future employee... the best is you check with immigration office because demands vary by sector (plantation, tourism, government etc). If all paperwork is ok, and company credentials in order (accounts, down paid capital etc), and future employee pass and other eventual papers in order work pass is issued in less than 24 hours.

it depends on your employer if they want to charge you a penalty or not. Have a read through this forum they explain it better http://www.alloexpat.com/malaysia_expat_forum/just-quit-my-job-have-immigration-work-permit-questions-t21035.html
2 :
It depends on your contract of employment... Your employer may want you to pay back a part of the expenses recruiting you.... Your employer cannot leally tie you down, provided that you have given your notice to resign in good time; otherwise you may have to pay some months' salary in lieu, etc. ..... On the Immigration Department or work permit situation, your employer will apply to have your work permit cancelled, and you will be given a special pass of usually 2 weeks for you to make arrangeents to return to where you come from[for the employment]. You will also be given an "exit permit" [ a letter to a stated immigration post through which you will leave the country]which has to be processed [ handed over to Immigration checkpoint when leaving] to indicat that youhave left the country. If this is not done, you will be on the "list". So you need to plan your resignation...There are no fees or penalties for you to pay in these respects. If you need to return to Malasia for a social visit, you can still apply for a Visa[ if required] or follow the normal way...
3 :
Yes its permitted, no you won't be penalised unless your employer wants to. So be discreet and give a sad story.

medical clearance to get work visa in malaysia

medical clearance to get work visa in malaysia?
i am in indian. what medical test must i undergo in order to get malaysian working visa?
Malaysia - 3 Answers

1 :
The Malaysian Immigration Dept. reconizes the one issued by FOMEMA, a Malaysian central medical screening agency---you have to pass it before you are issued the work permit. Your employer (potential) should have made all the arrangements...[you first enter Malaysia with a social visit pass, but with permission to seek employment via an instrument called a landing permit].The medical tests includes X-rays of the chest area. blood teats of Hebatitius, TB, HIV, VD....
2 :
Before coming to Malaysia you have to undergo a medical checkup with a medical practictioner in India which is registered with the Malaysian Health Ministry. You have to be declared free of contagious diseases such as Hepatitis , Tuberculosis, veneral disease, malaria, HIV , a clear X-ray ( on your chest ), free from diabetes, drug, pregnancy and basically are physically fit ( not handicapped ). You'll have to send the ORIGINAL copy of the medical examination report ( a standard format which a registered doctor should have ) over to Malaysia for visa application. Once you have arrived in Malaysia, you'll be given a ONE month period to undergo another medical examination , this time a Malaysian doctor registered with FOMEMA , a body which oversee the medical examination of all foreign workers in Malaysia. If you pass the medical examination , only then you'll be given a full 1 year working permit. If you fail the test, you'll have to return to India and your visa cancelled. You do not have to worry about what test you should undergo. Just go to a registered doctor in India and he'll have all the tests required by the Malaysian government.

PS2 games are region coded, and unfortunately the US (NTSC U/C) and Malaysia (NTSC J) are different regions so PS2 games bought in Malaysia will not run on an unmodified US PS2.

Yes, all non-Malaysian who wish to work in Malaysia are required to apply for a working permit. Go to the following website to get more information on this. http://www.imi.gov.my
2 :
No you don't need work permit first, but if there is company agree on you working in Malaysia (with them) then why not apply first because commonwealth country were allowed to stay in Malaysia 2 month as visitor.... then special visa or permit will be issue later......(upon request) you can apply before coming in to Malaysia via Malaysian Embassy or when you already here in Putrajaya check this out http://www.imi.gov.my/eng/im_Page1.asp
3 :
Yep you sure do
4 :
yes you do
5 :
You can enter on a 3 month visitor visa (not 2 months as previously stated) and if you find employment you can then apply for a work and residence permit. Commonwealth countries do not have embassies, they have high commissions.
6 :
yes u need but work in M;sia is in RM compare with Pound 6.5 why u want to work here unless they pay u very high pay

what is the minimum salary for a foreigner like me having a college degree? how much does it cost for you to survive in malaysia including rent, food, clothing, etc. is it like singapore where crime is very low? is it an open city where it does not matter what your religion or what clothes you wear?

I heard that Malaysia is a muslim-only country, just like Indonesia and the middle east. ( So, it is best to stay away from any 3rd world muslim country, because they are mostly trouble. )
2 :
Its almost impossible for a foreigner to land a good job in Malaysia or Singapore with just a college degree, not unless you have a good command of Mandarin (though not compulsory, but thats what most employers in these 2 countries are secretly looking for in their staffs).

GET A JOB. the EMPLOYER will apply WORK PERMIT for you . ( if the company which to hire you ) . IS FREE !! non of employer ask for work permit fees in Malaysia. ^^^^ those " AGENTS " who ask for USD 200-600 for WORK PERMIT / VISA is SCAM. after payment, you unable to contact them again. HOWEVER . YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS !! ^^^^ is not easy to get jobs in Malaysia. keep in mind. " money " cannot BUY work permit !!
2 :
The short answer: You do not apply for the work permit yourself. Your prospective employer applies it on your behalf. You just wait for the "landing order" from the Immigration Department of Malaysia which will be forwarded to you by your employer. The actual cost should be less than US$500.00 [ visa fee, levy, work permit fee & processing charges, medical screening..] depending on circumstances, and is paid for by your employer. So, get in touch with your employer for information... [Be aware of employment agents.]

do you need a working Visa? and how are you going to get that if you are already in malaysia? help!? im not in Malaysia yet, but thanks for the answers... im not going there to work really, its just for visiting the company purposes, is that considered work?

1 :
your company must be crazy (dont want to use the word dumb) to send you to Malaysia if you are already in Malaysia... yes u will need working visa, your company should do everything for you by right!
2 :
Just stick with visiting visa and make sure you don't get caught. Getting caught is highly unlikely unless you work in a risky business (i.e massage parlour, GRO, bartender) Edit: I don't think it is considered as work
3 :
i won't use the term work if it is only 20 days, it should be business trip or training, remember if any government officer ask you should not mention the word work ( training is the best word ) upon arrival when you stamp your passport 30 days will be given, just enjoy and have a happy trip, welcome
4 :
Go to the nearest Immigration Department to get the working permit. I think this should be done by your company earlier.
5 :
NO. Philippine passport holders don't need visas to visit Malaysia because both are members of ASEAN - as long as you don't extend your visit after 30 days and you shouldn't work. A visit just for company purposes is NOT considered work - as long as you are not receiving a salary direct from the Malaysian company/branch. If an immigration officer asks you about your intent in visiting Malaysia, just say that you are undergoing a "Company tour" or "Company training". Do remember that some Malaysian officers are a bit doubtful regarding Filipinos because of the large (illegally-employed) Filipino community there.

I do believe you either have to apply for a work VISA or apply for a full Malaysian passport which means you are then a member of their country. YAY! 1 down.... 3million to go
2 :
Very simple. You are strictly forbidden to work. You have permission to stay in Malaysia with your husband, and that's the end of it. Marrying a Malaysian was not a wise career move. If it is any consolation, wives of employment visa holders are forbidden to work, too.

Private..

Private sector...with tight working time .....not as government you know some of them too slow and lazy huh....
3 :
Private.. If u work in the gov. sector, u work 3 times less with double payment.. seriously, and then u get like 5 breaks.. at 10-breakfast at 12-lunch at 4 -tea at 5 -Home
4 :
Private.. 70-80% gov employee too lazy and less productive to work.. to many break.. easy job.. lateness not a probs.. sory bos hv to send sister to clinic, sory,, hv to pay bills.. they suppose to work till 5.30.. but at 4pm already pack their thing, and 4.45 at busstop or parking lot.. try go to any gov counter at 4.15pm onward.. you can see their face, suddenly mad at you because you had make mistake in your form THAT YOU NOT FAMILIAR AT compare to them..
5 :
I have spent many long tedious hours in various government buildings and it is very frustrating as most of the staff seem to be on a permanent lunch-break. So the private sector wins hands down when comparing work schedules and courtesy...!
6 :
under the bn gov, the private sector is the one
7 :
When work and quality counts, it will be private sector. Its the only sector where one gets to use the brain , creativity , sheer hard work and self satisfaction. It is most suited for highly competitive people. Some or most time work load is tremendous as have to keeps up with various companies as they are competitors Government sector is more for people who dont want to compete. Tardiness will be the norm in any Malaysian government offices. It is more like a dumping ground for unemployable graduates. However with the Barisan Rakyat holding five states as the government, things might improves as BR believes in meritocracy.

The company that offer you the job will help you
2 :
First of all, you have to ensure that the offer which you received was a genuine offer. When a Malaysian employer employs a foreigner, it is the responsibility of the employer to apply for a work permit for it's foreign employee. The Malaysian employer has to submit various documents to the immigration department and to justify that why it has to employ a foreigner instead of a local. The only documents the employer require from you are a photocopy of your passport, a medical examination certificate and your academic certificates and any other relevant supporting documents eg. a reference letter from your previous employer. For real and valid application and if all the documents are in order and the employer is able to justify why it needs to employ you, then an approval should be given out within 1 month. If the documents are not in order, the application could take months to process. For your information, if you were asked to apply for a work permit by your employer, then it is safe to say that the offer was a fake one. All documents for work permit application are to be submitted to the immigration department in Malaysia and there is no way you could do that ( the immigration won't even entertain you ). Accordingly all employers are to submit their applications on their own and most do that especially established and big companines but in reality there are some smaller companines who opt to use the services of agents which are not that reliable. Cheating by agents are not uncommon here. Whatever it is, remember always deal directly with your employer. Even if an agent require documents/ money from you, do not give to the agent directly. Verify with your prospective employer first. How to verify ? Do not just call the telephone number given to you by your agent. If possible seek the assistance from the Malaysian consulate office or at least you post the company name here (YA) so that we could try check if this company really exists. Just be careful, there are many cheatings going around.
3 :
You do not apply for the work permit yourself. Your prospective employer is to apply for a permit to employ a foreigner ....the employer has to provide proof that locals cannot be found to fill in the post. If approved, then the employer sends your particulars to the Immigration Dept. who will issue a "landing permit" to you, and after you arrive in Malaysia, your employer arranges to have your passport "stamped" with a work permit (it is a security sticker). You will have to undergo a medical examination and have all your fingers print recorded as part of the process. Note that without the landing permit, the immogration officer at the landing point will stamp your passport with a limited social visit pass which does not allow employment, and you will have to go back to your country to start over again -but with the landing permit, the officer will know what to do and facilitate the process (i.e. make known that the landing permit holder has landed, so that the Immigration Dept. town office is ready for you.). The whole process may take one to three months, depending how quick your employer can obtain his permit (he has to be interviewed and scrutinized(wait for his turn), then has to pay up your visa fee, work pass, insurance, guarrantee bond, etc. to the Immigration Dept. before that landing permit is issued.
4 :
Chesney and Jimmy are right. There s no need for you to go hunting around trying to get a work permit. Your prospective will do that for you. My work place has lots of foreigner from England, Oz, SA, Austria, India. All they have to do is to submit all the documents as per what Jimmy says. Don't get con into paying big bucks. Good luck.

No you can npt with visit visa
2 :
If you get caught working for a Malaysian company on a visit visa, you will be in a lot of trouble. You can be put in jail and deported. You shouldn't risk it. However, I think you are allowed to go to Malaysia for a business trip and work, as you aren't being paid a salary from a Malaysian company. Getting a work permit is very difficult these days. There are only certain positions for which it will be given (English teacher is not one of them, ironically, when even the Immigration Department can't write proper English). I'm not sure which jobs can get work permits, so the best bet would be to check with the Immigration Office in your state (for KL it is Pusat Bandar Damansara, to get there take the U82 bus from KL Sentral), or the Head Immigration Office in Putrajaya (to get there take the E1 bus from Pasar Seni if you're in KL). Ask for someone who speaks English (say "Anda boleh berchakap Bahasa Inggeris?"). You may need to return to your country before the work permit will be issued. It usually takes around 4-6 weeks to be approved, if it does get approved at all.
3 :
as Michael says, you are not allowed to work on a visit visa in Malaysia; say you are here on a visit, find someone who wishes (and can) employ you - very few industries allow foreigners, such as palm oil plantations... - then your future wishful employer can start applying for a work permit for you. On the work permit papers it says that you must hand them in personally, but it also says that during the whole process you are not supposed to stay in Malaysia. It is a chicken and egg thing, really. Besides, immigrations are really not nice, I have a lot of hassles right now myself. But if you have a good agent they can apply for your work pass while you are in Malaysia on a visit visa, and eventually you will receive a work pass. The chances are, however, that getting the approval for a work pass exceeds the length of your visit visa so you will have to leave Malaysia at some point or other anyway.
4 :
1) No, you are not allowed to hold any job in Malaysia with your visit visa 2) No, you cannot convert your visit visa into working permit. What you can do is to go look for a job while you were in Malaysia and get your prospective employer to apply for a working permit but you still have to return to your country before the expiry of your visit visa

Your employer has to apply for an employment visa for you - you cannot. If you enter on a tourist visa, you generally have to leave while your employment visa application is pending - IF you can find a job with an employer willing to spend that kind of money on a visa for you. Also note that Malaysia's marketing focus is primarily westward, and you probably do not have the marketing skills, cultural knowledge, etc, to meet most companies' requirements. They want someone who really knows their market(s). And their main markets are not necessarily Pakistan.
