bank, if u have ur contact's route number or something... it's really personal imformation to them, but if u have that transfer is free. If not there's a fee.
2 :
do it thru the U.S. Embasy and you do nave to pay for it.

Before you go check out reputable banks in this country what they would recommend. You have the HSBC bank world over, this may be a safer thing to do. Be careful of small bureaus who claim they can wire money for you. Personally I would open an account here, who has a banking set up in the country you are going to. I would advise in any case to have the details of the British embessy of the country you are travelling to. They can usually help

find a Malaysian bank or use an international bank

Go to a bank and request for telegraphic transfer. Best if you can find one with branches in Makaysia and the Philippines. It may cost more, but it's safe. Do not send anything (cash cheques, drafts, etc...) by post or courier...

You can do T/T online if you have an account with CIMB or MAYBANK, it is really simple, you can even set a standing instruction to send a certain amount on a certain date and it will send automatically, every month, twice a month or whatever you like, we are in a digital age dude.

Just send it to me, lol! My account number will be available upon your request. ;D I think you just have to ask your fellow workers the best way they do it. I assume there are many Filipino workers in Malaysia.
