I read on a website that to get a work permit for teaching English in Malaysia, a minimum of an Masters Qualification is requirred.

Most Asian Language Institutes that I have dealt with want their teachers to have as a minimum a four year Bachelor's Degree (Major doesn't really matter) and TEFL training. Some will hire you with the degree and no formal TEFL, but I have not heard it the other way around. Perhaps if you have completed the TEFL and articulate your speech well, you could get into an Institute to teach English in Malaysia.
