I am from India, single, 45, medical transcriptionist, have worked on board a ship, in a 5-star super deluxe hotel, am good with computers, and am considered, an honest, hard-working, and enthusiastic worker.

Can US citizen work in Malaysia permanently?
I was born in Malaysia, and when I was 19 I immigrated to USA. Now I am a US citizen. I would like to move back to Malaysia and work there permanently while still carrying US citizenship. -What do I need to do in terms of paperwork? Do I need to pay taxes for US and Msia? -What do I need to do if I would like to become Msia citizen again? Please help me out!... Thank you.

You can try to regain your Malaysian Citizenship with birth certificate. However, Malaysia government doesn't allow dual citizenship. Therefore, you have to denounce US Citizenship when you regain your Malaysian citizenship. You could secure a Permanent Resident status in Malaysia relatively easy, especially if you could land onto a job with a work permit first. From there you could work here permanently as you like. You will need to pay Msia tax for sure, and about 3-4 years back US has decided to tax on US citizen even that they work overseas. However, you will be paying significantly lesser US tax if you stay away from the country for more than 11 months (plus minus) Hope it helps.

can a person on work permit in malaysia study (can get addmission)as a student as well?
i have got an offer for working in malaysia now what i want to know is that will i be allowed to study aswell as work at the the samr time on a work permit.as im planning to continue partime studies and also work please reply soon.

NO ! work pass is for work not study . unless for PART TIME STUDY , the answer is YES. you need to work for 8 hours a day for 6 day ? how you going for full time study >? also those " school " will not take you as full time student . except part time.

You cannot "study" on a work permit, unless it is for part-time study related to your work,[e.g. training] and sponsored by your employer. In this case, the Labour Dept and the Immigration Dept. may have to be informed [by your employer], If you are caught studying on a work permit, or working on a study permit, your permit will be canceled if you do not have very good and valid reasons. If you have a work permit and "abscond", your employer would report this to the Immigration Dept. [for his own good].... Learning institutions will require that you have a study/student permitbefore admitting you [including prepayment of full course fees for one year]....

The Sidekick will work in Malaysia if the phone is unlocked. If the phone is locked to T-Mobile and you buy it from someone in US, it won't work. You've to get it unlocked. If you need unlocked Sidekicks, you can mail me or talk with me on Yahoo!
