some might won't... but if the games that you bought in malaysia are originals it would play... but if it pirated, it won't work. i assure you.. pirated cd's might work if you bring your PS2 to malaysia and have them convert it so that it could run pirated cd's... if you convert it, it won't actually affect ur system but you can play original and pirated cd's...

PS2 games are region coded, and unfortunately the US (NTSC U/C) and Malaysia (NTSC J) are different regions so PS2 games bought in Malaysia will not run on an unmodified US PS2.
