why i can't work in Malaysia?
I've married to Malaysian and now stay in Malaysia. every year i have to renew my visa here, but what makes me confused on my visa it written "any form of employment is strictly prohibited. WIFE OF CITIZEN. could somebody who really understand explain to me what is mean? is this mean i cannot have a job in Malaysia? i have been work before in my country and have a diploma too. it's really hard for someone who get use to work then suddenly have to stay at home. Could somebody explain to me about this Malaysia regulation??? many thanks

I do believe you either have to apply for a work VISA or apply for a full Malaysian passport which means you are then a member of their country. YAY! 1 down.... 3million to go

Very simple. You are strictly forbidden to work. You have permission to stay in Malaysia with your husband, and that's the end of it. Marrying a Malaysian was not a wise career move. If it is any consolation, wives of employment visa holders are forbidden to work, too.

Private sector...with tight working time .....not as government you know some of them too slow and lazy huh....

Private.. If u work in the gov. sector, u work 3 times less with double payment.. seriously, and then u get like 5 breaks.. at 10-breakfast at 12-lunch at 4 -tea at 5 -Home

Private.. 70-80% gov employee too lazy and less productive to work.. to many break.. easy job.. lateness not a probs.. sory bos hv to send sister to clinic, sory,, hv to pay bills.. they suppose to work till 5.30.. but at 4pm already pack their thing, and 4.45 at busstop or parking lot.. try go to any gov counter at 4.15pm onward.. you can see their face, suddenly mad at you because you had make mistake in your form THAT YOU NOT FAMILIAR AT compare to them..

I have spent many long tedious hours in various government buildings and it is very frustrating as most of the staff seem to be on a permanent lunch-break. So the private sector wins hands down when comparing work schedules and courtesy...!

When work and quality counts, it will be private sector.Its the only sector where one gets to use the brain , creativity , sheer hard work and self satisfaction.It is most suited for highly competitive people. Some or most time work load is tremendous as have to keeps up with various companies as they are competitors Government sector is more for people who dont want to compete. Tardiness will be the norm in any Malaysian government offices. It is more like a dumping ground for unemployable graduates. However with the Barisan Rakyat holding five states as the government, things might improves as BR believes in meritocracy.
