When you reach here, you can put up in any budget hotels. Than get hold of the daily The Star. They have a column for room for rent. You can call up the landlord and negotiate. The rates vary in districts, status of property and facility.

there a bunch of websites offering both rooms and whole units for rent. Depending on where in msia u will be renting- the rent varies. In more urban metroploitan cities like KL and Penang- average rent for a room is abt RM550 and average rent for a 3 room apartment is RM1200.
